Cyber Harlot is a pseudonym I’m using online to avoid the doxxing that comes with having opinions. Especially being a woman, a professional slut, and having opinions. I’m currently a full time PhD research student and a Cam Girl + Fetish Performer, but I like to diversify my work when I can. I’ve sat on cakes, bullied full grown men, and performed cyber strip shows during my years of working in the nighttime economy.
Academically, I have an undergraduate degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice, a Masters degree in Criminology & Law, and I’m currently studying towards a PhD in Criminology & Criminal Justice. My Masters dissertation had a focus on the decriminalisation of sex work and the negative impact of the Nordic Model of policing, and my PhD thesis has a focus on sex work & the duty of care of social institutions.
I’ve written for a range of online journals, usually focusing on the sex worker experience relevant to my own identity, as well as pieces on female deviance and the abstract concept of morality. I do a lot of public speaking around the concept of stigma and identity within our community, which are issues very close to my heart.
I’m hoping to use this space as somewhere casual where I can write about things relevant to my work life, research area, and interests.
